While so many terms have ’2.0’ suffixed after them today, Mobile 2.0 can be defined simply as: Next generation access (network) and Next generation data services which are possible due to the evolution of the network

The core telecoms network is being transformed through technologies like IMS, WiFi, Wimax, VOIP and others. As the mobile network evolves, it is aligning itself with the Internet i.e. becoming Open. Intelligence is also shifting to applications i.e. edge of network and we are seeing the dawn of entirely new services which were not possible even a few years ago.

This session discusses Mobile 2.0 i.e. the evolution of the network and the consequent emerging applications.
